    The Village of Tolo
    as a Vacation Destination

    Tolo flourished as a vacation destination in the 70s, when tourism in Greece began rising. Since then Tolo has become a destination that thousands of people visit for their holidays whether from America, Europe or even Greece! Offering all modern amenities it is a place that provides everything you might need on your escape from the mundane. Beach bars & tavernas on the beach, supermarkets for all essentials, a butcherhop and many cafes & restaurants on the main road complete the setting. What makes Tolo a special place is the relaxing atmosphere, the gorgeous weather and the welcoming people that offer their hospitality to everyone.

    The History of Tolo

    Tolo was founded in 1834 by Royal Decree and and became home to refugees from Crete during the fight for independence. The village's original name was Minoa, paying homage to king Minos the mythical king of Crete. Altough there are historical mentions to the area that is now Tolo it wasn't populated, unless we go back to Mycenaean times (the Bronze Era) where Ancient Asini was an important port for the city of ancient Myceanae. Ancient Asini is an archaeological site located at the entrance to the village.

    Tolo is a small village but offers interesting places for our guests to visit all around. Explore the runis of Ancient Asini, create you own adventure by exploring the islands in Tolo Bay and find the churches spread on Tolo's hills. The grahic beauty of our village is the perfect setting for long walks, lively bars nights as well as endless days on the beach .

    Agia Kiriaki Church

    Agia Kiriaki is a charming white and blue church overlooking bay of Tolo and knwon for its breathtaking panoramic views.

    Tolo Harbour

    Tolo harbour is an ideal place for a walk, enjoy the views, see the sunset and take in the fresh sea air.

    Koronisi Island

    Koronisi is a tiny island in the bay and the village symbol, it features a small blue-and-white chapel dedicated to the Holy Apostles.

    Romvi Island

    Romvi is covered in pine trees and is home to two goergeous beaches making it a perfect swimming spot. It accessible by boat, sup or pedaloe.

    Found in the shores of the Argolic Gulf only a breath away from Tolo, Ancient Asini is part of the rich history of the area.

    Moni Sotiros

    Moni Metamorfoseos Sotiros is a quiet churrch located in Tolo in the old road that leads to Nafplio through the mountains. A great path for hiking in the Argolida!

    Kastraki Beach

    Kastraki Beach is set right under the ruins Ancient Asini. A small pebble beach near Tolo, perfect for a quiet beach day paired with exploration.
